In Marchthe international news magazine Newsweek published a report under the headline, "Sins of the Fathers" which detailed how priests and bishops in different dioceses of the Catholic Church in the US had molested young boys and girls for about 50 years.
The new mother arrived at the nunnery in San Severino, Italy more than two years ago before the pregnancy and has lived behind the closed walls ever since. All of the women living in the Santa Chiara nunnery have taken vows promising "chastity, poverty and obedience" — the three main pillars of the order.
